E-Liquid Help & Support

Introduction to e-liquid

A necessary part of electronic cigarettes is e-liquid, with that in mind, we have provided this section of our site to give users all you need to know more about e-liquid. Here at VapeTek we understand that e-liquid is not a household term, it is even possible that people who have used e-liquid for a long time do not know the first thing about it; we have aimed to make the information as simple as possible so that everybody who wants to learn more can do so with ease. We hope that this will help all users to make an informed decision about the e-liquid they choose to vape.

What is e-liquid?

E-liquid is the liquid that fuels an electronic cigarette. It consists of three parts: the nicotine solution, the flavour and the diluent. These three parts create the vapor that is exhaled to mimic the smoke that you would see if you were to smoke traditional cigarettes.

Nicotine: One of the stimulants and addictive substances found in cigarettes. Remember though, nicotine is not the dangerous component of cigarettes. Nicotine when used at the current strength is safe to vape. We strive to provide the best possible quality nicotine bases for our fluids. In our UK or USA produced fluids or our mix your own Nicotine solution, we only use UK manufactured Pharmaceutical grade nicotine. Indeed, we were the first company in 2009, to offer customers UK and USA sourced and manufactured e-liquid.

Diluent: The second ingredient to make up e-liquid is the diluent. The diluent performs two functions. Firstly, it is added to dilute the mixture of nicotine and flavours to the desired strength and secondly it provides the constituent that produces the vapour. The vapour is inhaled and transports both the flavour and nicotine from the e-cig to the user. All our diluents are high quality food grade. The common diluents used in our products are:

Propylene Glycol (PG): Helps to produce what we refer to as the ‘throat hit’ in combination with nicotine and flavours. As a guide, our pre-mixed e-liquids contain a range of between 50% and 80% PG.

Vegetable Glycerine (VG): Enhances vapour production, and adds a little sweetness and smoothness to the e-liquid.

Aqueous Glycerine (AG): Vegetable Glycerine has a very thick consistency and in some tank systems can prevent the flow of e-liquid to the coil causing it to burn. To prevent this, a small quantity of de-ionised water is added to ‘thin’ the VG this is the basic difference between AG and VG. Our AG is ready mixed to the correct consistency for your convenience, its vaping properties are the same as VG.

Flavourings: Nicotine has no discernible taste. Therefore to produce the taste in e-liquid a flavour needs to be added. There are an infinite number of flavours that can be used. We believe we stock not only some of the finest tasting and highest quality e-liquid flavourings, but also one of the widest and most exciting ranges available. All our flavourings have been developed and made exclusively for Totally Wicked; you will not find them anywhere else!

Red Label e-liquid

Building upon the heritage of the Original e-liquid branding, our Red Label e-liquid is very special. Not only is it designed and manufactured using only the best UK produced products, these products have been brought together after significant effort and time invested into supplier research and relationship development, such that we can say with confidence that these fluids are one of the most superior available and we believe offer the very best value for money. However, our opinion is of much less value than our customers. These fluids have been tested thoroughly and included panels of our own customers to give the direction and feedback. This testing has allowed the Red Label range to be honed to the level of quality and consistency that we believe supports our claims that Totally Wicked Red Label is the best quality UK produced e-liquid offered at a price that delivers on our commitment to produce more of our own products and pass the value we can generate directly to our customers. Offered in 40 unique flavours and 7 strengths, from 0.0% to 3.0% (30mg/ml).

Titan Fluid

Our Titan Fluid has been available since 2009. In these early days there was very little e-liquid available outside of pre-filled cartomizers and cartridges. However, the VapeTek ‘Titan’ e-cig provided in its kit a 10ml bottle of e-liquid. Such was the positive feedback from our customers on the menthol and tobacco e-liquids provided in this kit, we decided to make the fluid available on general sale and also build the range to which it is today. The Titan range has over 20 different flavours and is available in 4 strengths. The 10ml, 20ml and 30ml bottles have been adapted so that the nozzles are the perfect fit for our tanks and refillable cartridges, making it very easy to top up your e-cig. The range is made exclusively for TW by our primary partner, Joyetech; produced in Joyetech’s own specially developed fluid production facility, run to European standards of quality and product specification. The Titan range is mixed with a blend of Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerine and offers an exceptional value and quality e-liquid.

Patriot Range e-liquid

Our USA manufacturing partner produces our exclusive Totally Wicked Patriot Range. It was developed to offer some distinctive North American flavours; primarily for our USA customers, but also to provide a wider choice to all our international customers of some really bold and striking flavours that we are very proud of. The Patriot Range could never be called bashful! With over 40 flavours in 5 strengths, the Patriot Range is the largest of our pre-mixed fluid ranges and comes in easy to use 10ml and 30ml ‘super squeeze’ bottles. Consistent with our principles, the Patriot Range is made with only the best ingredients, and to ensure this, we independently obtain the best quality nicotine from our UK nicotine supplier and provide this as the Patriot Range’s base nicotine.

Diavlo e-liquid

Born from a passion for the highest quality e-liquid and influenced by the underbelly of London, our Diavlo range is perfected for the palates of vapers. A higher VG content means when using the right hardware, you can create thick, opulent clouds of vapour. But for everyday vaping it will deliver a smooth hit that encompass lavish flavours remaining perfectly balanced, for an impeccable all day vape. Sourced and created in the UK using only the highest grade of components, Diavlo is a premium range of e-liquid. Continuing our commitment to produce our own products and pass the value onto our customers, we offer the Diavlo at a price that defies the exceptional standards of the range.

Unflavoured Red Label e-liquid

Red Label Unflavoured e-liquid is the latest addition to our e-liquid and mix your own range of products. But what is it? It is simply e-liquid without the flavour. Did you know that to vape e-liquid you don’t actually need any flavouring? We add it in there to give vapers a huge range of choice when it comes to e-liquid. Did you also know that mixing your own e-liquid can be as easy as buying some pre-mixed base and adding a flavouring of your choice to your exact specification? Well now you do.

“Mix Your Own” e-liquid

Mixing your own e-liquid can appear a little daunting at first, and some of what you read online might make this appear to be some sort of specialist art that only a few can master, this could not be further from the truth. Mixing your own e-liquid is relatively simple and once you understand the component parts and their role in making the e-liquid the rest is simplicity itself. The possibilities in terms of flavour and tailoring your e-liquid are endless and only limited by your imagination.

What does it entail? Simply, mixing your own e-liquid requires 4 base fluids; nicotine solution, flavour concentrate and two diluents, mixed together in the correct ratio to produce the fluid flavour and strength that you wish. The nicotine solution mixed with the diluent creates the strength and the addition of the flavour concentrate adds the desired taste. All that is required is some simple measuring of the right volumes of each; a bit of mixing and you are set.
